Flyer for Carrollton Public Schools’ Military & First Responder Appreciation Night on September 18, 2026, at Carrollton High School Stadium. The event honors veterans, active-duty military, police, fire, and EMS personnel. Gates and tailgate activities open at 6:00 p.m., followed by a 6:50 p.m. pregame flag raising by the Carrollton Fire Department and a 7:00 p.m. football game between Carrollton and Hemlock High School. Halftime includes recognition of Hometown Heroes, Taps, and an Honor Guard presentation. Hometown Heroes receive a free hot dog, chips, and water at the concession stand. Questions: 989-753-3433.

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation.

We honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day. We remember the first responders who ran toward danger to help others, the service members who answered our nation’s call in the years that followed, and the families whose lives were forever changed by their sacrifice.

As a school community, we also recognize the importance of helping the next generation understand the significance of this day and the enduring lessons it carries: to serve others, to show compassion, to stand together in difficult times, and to remember those who gave so much.

Twenty-five years later, we remember. We reflect. And we will never forget.
