World Down Syndrome Day is on March 21 every year. It is a global awareness day with the goal of helping people understand and support those with Down syndrome better. The date being the 21st day of the 3rd month was chosen to represent the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. CHS teacher, Cory Duquette, was awarded the Bridge Builder Award by Athletic Director, Jake Premo, at this week's board meeting in recognition of how much he cares for students at Carrollton High School. Throughout this school year Cory has stepped up and supported our students in a multitude of ways, including organizing and working the chain gang at football games, and in the stands supporting our basketball players, cheerleaders, and wrestlers.
