On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, before the varsity basketball game (approximately 6:30pm), Carrollton Public Schools will dedicate the Carrollton High School basketball court as the “Coach Ron Vondette Basketball Court at Carrollton High School”. The dedication of the court honors the legacy of Mr. Ron Vondette, who served as the Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Carrollton High School from 1965-1994, accumulating a 425-164 record, with 20 league championships, 7 district titles, 4 regional titles, and a Runner-Up in the 1969-70 State Championship Game.
In addition to remarks and the reveal of the sign before the game, a reception will be held in the cafeteria starting at half time for former Carrollton High School basketball players who would like to visit with Coach Vondette.

Calling all Cavaliers! Carrollton needs your help in competing against other Saginaw County districts in the Step Up and BWell challenge. Our district is going head to head against our rivals once again but this time it won’t only be done on a court or field. We are being asked to log movement in minutes on the Step Up and BWell website. What is movement? You can log activities like: gym class, recess, walking, cheering, jogging, walking your dog, dancing, doing chores, playing sports etc. Any movement counts! In doing so, we will be competing for prizes and the recognition of being the healthiest district in Saginaw County. You and your parents will receive registration forms via email or register here: https://stepup.bwellsaginaw.org/register. Please make sure to get registered soon so we can show Saginaw County that the Carrollton Cavaliers know how to Step Up!
