School is out for the summer, and that means it's time for Meet Up & Eat Up!

Carrollton Public Schools is proud to once again participate in Michigan's Meet Up & Eat Up summer meal program, providing free, nutritious meals to children throughout the summer months. The program helps ensure that children continue to have access to healthy meals while school is not in session.

Beginning June 10th, free lunch is available Monday through Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hanchett Park for children ages 1–18, and up to age 26 for individuals with disabilities. On days the weather is uncooperative, meals will be served at Carrollton Middle School instead of Hanchett park, with notification of the change being posted on the district’s social media. All sites will be closed during the week prior to July 4.

"The summer months are an important time to ensure children continue to have access to healthy meals and positive community connections," said Superintendent Tiffany Peterson. "Meet Up & Eat Up provides both by offering nutritious food in a safe, welcoming environment where children can gather with friends and enjoy summer activities."

The free meals served through Meet Up & Eat Up follow USDA nutrition guidelines, helping children stay healthy, active, and fueled for summer fun. In addition to enjoying a nutritious meal, families visiting Hanchett Park can look forward to special activities and community guests throughout the summer.
