Today at Hanchett Park, children enjoyed eating fresh blueberries picked yesterday at Backwoods Blueberries in Hemlock.

Carrollton Public Schools is up for a millage renewal! Date of Election: August 8, 2023   Quick facts: -This millage proposal is a RENEWAL, last taken to the voters in November 2012. -This millage, if approved, would provide $631,304 for the district for the 2024-25 school year (as well as funding for future years) and $9,752 for the 2023-24 school year. -This millage, if approved, would NOT affect the majority of taxpayers in our community. It does not include a family’s primary residence! -This millage is levied on “non-homestead” properties such as industrial, commercial, some agricultural property and “second homes” such as rental property. If this millage is not approved by December 2024, the district MAY have to make significant changes to our budget due to this reduction in revenue.

Due to inclement weather, including icy road conditions, wind gusts and a winter weather advisory in effect until 4:00 am tomorrow, Carrollton Public Schools will be closed Friday, February 17, 2023. Again, Carrollton Public Schools will be closed on Friday, February 17, 2023, due to inclement weather. As a gentle reminder, Carrollton Public Schools will be closed on Monday, February 20, 2023 for President's Day. School will reopen on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 7:45 am for traditional buildings and 8:10 am for Omni High School. Stay warm and stay safe.
