At the board meeting, Gabby Castanon was recognized by Superintendent Peterson for being honored with an MLK Regional Scholarship. Students were selected for the scholarship based on their commitment to living out Dr. Martin Luther King's dream. Gabby wrote about how she has carried on Dr. King's legacy through her involvement in the CHS Hispanic Heritage month assembly. This work has afforded her the opportunity to share pieces of her Hispanic culture with her fellow Cavaliers. Thank you to Gabby for all she has contributed to Carrollton over the years and congratulations on your scholarship award!

The DEADLINE to order a cap and gown for graduation is coming up on Friday, January 24th! If a student does not order their cap and gown by the deadline, it is possible that they will not be able to walk at graduation in May!
Orders can be placed by going to the link below, scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page, and selecting the "Cap, Gown, and Tassel Unit". CHS uses custom gowns from Herff Jones, and does NOT carry additional stock for student use.
