Dear Carrollton Community,
We are excited to share some important news with you. As your Superintendent and Board of Education President, we are beginning an important process to develop a new strategic plan for our school district, and we want your voice to be part of it.
The purpose of this planning process is to listen, learn, and work together to shape a shared vision for the future of Carrollton Public Schools—one that supports a strong learning experience for every student in our Cavalier community.
Our strategic plan will be more than a list of goals. It will reflect what we believe in as a district community and what we hope for our children. To do that well, we need input from students, families, staff, and community members. Your experiences, ideas, and hopes will help guide the direction we take.
As we begin this work, we are focusing our conversations around four key areas:
1. Stronger Learning Experiences
We want learning to be engaging, meaningful, and relevant. Your feedback will help us shape curriculum and learning opportunities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning.
2. Using Technology to Support Learning
Technology plays an important role in today’s world. We want to hear your thoughts on how technology can best support students and enhance learning experiences.
3. Connecting with Our Community
Schools are strongest when families and community members are involved. We are committed to creating opportunities for engagement and making sure every voice has a chance to be heard.
4. Supporting Our Teachers
Our teachers work hard every day to support students. Community input will help us understand how we can best support educators with training, resources, and tools.
School Board President Anthony McDonald shared, “This strategic planning process is about listening and learning together. We want to build a plan that truly reflects the needs and hopes of our students and community, and that starts with hearing from you.”
We invite you to be part of this journey. Your thoughts and ideas are important, and we encourage you to share your input in one or both of the following ways:
