Welcome back

September 1, 2023

Dear Cavalier Community,

Welcome back to school!  We are thrilled to have everyone back in our halls and classrooms!  It’s been an incredible first week filled with excitement, learning, and growth.  We express gratitude to our dedicated staff for their hard work and commitment to our students’ success.  We thank our students and encourage them to keep up the great work and continue to embrace new opportunities.  We are grateful for our families who choose Carrollton and support us by being present and active in the school community.  We recognize our Board of Education and school community for their continued support and partnership in shaping the future of our school. All of us, as one team, will make this a remarkable year of achievement and progress as we continue #BuildingStrongerTogether.

Safety continues to be our number one priority.  As students and families learn routines, please exercise patience in school parking lots.  You may have noticed the Carrollton Township Police in the parking lots helping direct traffic.  I hope this has given you a sense of calm.  I know the wait can be frustrating at times, but as we navigate the first few weeks of school and even throughout the school year, please help us keep every Cavalier safe by doing the following:

  • Follow the signs and the directions of staff in the parking lot.

  • Plan for 10 minutes of traffic flow.

  • Set a pick-up and drop-off routine with your student so they know when and where to expect you in the parking lot.

  • Exercise patience. (Soft suggestions: Having a book to read, snacks to eat, and/or music to listen to, may help better manage the wait.)

As we move into the month of September, we have much to be excited about and celebrate!  Please save the dates for these events in Cavalier Nation:

9/5 -  Cross-Country Meet @ 4:00 pm, Immerman Park

9/7    JV Football Game @ 6:00 pm, Cavalier Stadium

9/8 -  Varsity Football Game @ 7:00 pm @ Valley Lutheran
