Dear Carrollton Community,

Welcome May and Happy Staff Appreciation Week to every Carrollton Public Schools employee! May 1 - May 5, 2023 is dedicated to celebrating and recognizing the hard work, dedication, and commitment our staff has to our students, families, and community.  We believe our educators in Carrollton are the best in Saginaw County!  If you have a moment, stop by, send an email or card, make a phone call, and thank an educator this week.  It will mean the world to our amazing staff!

As we move into the homestretch of the 2022-2023 school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the progress we have made this school year and look ahead to what is to come.

Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic, our students and staff have remained resilient and dedicated to learning. We have adopted our MTSS structure as the foundation for every student, enforced our safety measures, and continued to provide the best possible education for our students.  We continue to make the whole-child experience our mantra for learning.  By strengthening instructional practices and cultivating a love of learning through the arts and athletics, we believe our students are growing and making strides in their academic achievement.

With just a few weeks left in the school year, I want to remind our community that perseverance and collaboration will continue to be key to our success.  We must remain vigilant in our efforts to keep our schools safe and healthy, while also continuing to prioritize academic achievement and personal growth.

I am proud of the hard work and determination demonstrated by our students, families and staff.  I am equally proud to serve as your Superintendent. Thank you for your continued partnership. Together, we will finish the year stronger and better than ever.

Should you have a question or concern, please feel free to contact me via email tpeterson@gocavs.net, phone (989)754-1475, or reach out to my Executive Assistant, Mrs. Teresa Aiken, to set up an appointment to meet in person.

With Cavalier Pride,
