The Business Office of Carrollton Public Schools supports the mission, objectives and strategies of the district through its primary functions of budgeting, accounting, accounts payable, human resources, state and federal reporting, banking and payroll. Mandated and optional reporting along with a variety of forms are available on the financial pages of this website.

Budget Information for Carrollton Public Schools

As required by the Michigan Department of Education, Carrollton Public Schools adopts a budget resolution for all revenues and expenditures that are projected to occur throughout the year.The original budget must be adopted by June 30th for the following year. Additional budget amendments are then completed periodically throughout the year (at a minimum of twice) as projections change with additional information received (example: student count, foundation allowance, etc.).

CPS Audit Information

The Carrollton Public Schools has an independent audit firm examine its financial information annually and produce the district financial statements in the form on an audit report.

Michigan School Business Officials: Michigan School Business Officials was founded in 1937 as a nonprofit corporation to serve the multifaceted interests of education. It is their intent to serve all members, provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, and to provide opportunities for members to expand their professional horizons in the public education sector. The Mission of MSBO is to continually improve the leadership of and management in school business and operational services, while enhancing the professional, social, and economic well-being of its members. Their web site holds a vast array of important and valuable school finance information.

Michigan Department of Education:The MDE web site offers endless information on Michigan public school news. In addition, you will also find a great resource section on school finance under “School Finance and School Law” which can be reached through the “Offices” link on the left hand side.

Payroll, accounts payable, accident and miscellaneous forms are available for download.

Once a form is completed, please make sure it has the necessary signatures before submitting to Central Office. Never submit a form directly to the ISD.
